Reflection paragraph on process

This research project wasn't really that hard at all. I flew right through it with no problems. All my questions were answered, and it was all worded clearly so i understood everything. It all seems pretty easy to me, I didn't find it difficult at all. I enjoyed learning what each nurse does. I didn't really like learning about the requirements it takes to be a nurse, because there are so many requirements you have to meet before hand.If i had to do this project again, I would probably choose different sites to look at at and get information from. I would have some new questions too. I would choose Dentistry next if i could this same project on a different topic.

This page is explaining what each type of nurse does. It was probably not the most trustworthy, butit had lots of information about nursing that I didn't know before. "Home - Nursing." Nursing. Nurses, 5 Feb. 2012. Web. 12 May 2014. Requirements to become a nurse. This page was deffinately the one that displayed the most obvious bias about nursing.

These are ICU nurses, the ICU department is their area. They assist the doctors with ICU patients.

“Nursing is a kind of mania; a fever in the blood; an incurable disease which, once contracted, cannot be got out of the system. If it was not like that, there would be no hospital nurses, for compared dispassionately with other professions, the hours are long, the work hard, and the pay inadequate to the amount of concentrated energy required.
A nurse, however, does not view her profession dispassionately. It is too much a part of her.”
― Monica Dickens
This quotes in mainly stating that what a nurse does doesn't compare to anything else. A nurse have a passion for their job, helping people in need. Monica dickens looks to nurses as great people.

What I already know about my topic

I already a little bit about the nursing career. I want a bachelors degree so that's a four year program. Or if you want a Associates degree that's a two year program. Advanced degrees include Masters, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Anesthetist, and PhD. You work with a doctor, and help with the patient as much as possible. State licensure is required for the state in which the nurse practices. Licensure may be maintained in several states if necessary.

Story behind my topic choice

I chose to do Nursing. My reasoning behind choosing nursing is simple, I've wanted to be a nurse when I grow up since I was in middle school. It's pretty much my dream to be in the medicine field. Yes, I'm aware it's going to take a lot of time to get where I want to be in the medicine field, but I know it'll all be worth it. Much of this interest came from me having family in this field. They love it, and I think I will too. Succeeding in this dream would make me more than happy. I feel so excited to go to collage for nursing. Nurses provide care, treatment, counseling, and health education to ill or injured. Who wouldn't want to help people? This experience will be amazing. Overwhelming, but amazing. Nurses also provide education to individuals and families to promote health and prevent injury and illness. They monitor patient's conditions, administer medications as prescribed by physicians. Nurses make a big difference.
